DXP Preferences > PCB Editor > General > Smart Track Ends
With Smart Track Ends enabled you need to drag the skinny track to the end of the wide track before glossing.
Selected Track segments can be glossed to clean up overlapping tracks. Gloss Selected Tracks - Ctrl+Alt+G
